W dniach 2–6 września 2019 r. w Bukareszcie odbył się 12. Kongres AIESEE: Political, Social and Religious Dynamics in South-East Europe / Dynamiques politiques, sociales et religieuses dans le Sud-Est européen.
Prof. Jolanta Sujecka wygłosiła keynote lecture pt. Markers of Identity in the Slavia Orthodoxa Realm: Dositej Obradović and His Identity Construction Between Influence of Europe, and the Balkans, a następnie moderowała panel The Formation of South-East European Nations – 1st Part.
Członkinie Komisji „Bałkańskie Śródziemnomorze” — dr hab. Magdalena Koch, dr Katarzyna Taczyńska i dr Aleksandra Twardowska – zorganizowały panel Komisji (Polish Commission of Balkan Culture and History AIESEE) zatytułowany Jews in Yugoslavia in the 20th Century.
