Polska Komisja Bałkanistyki Historycznej i Kulturowej na międzynarodowej konferencji „Balkans: Meeting of Cultures. Cross-Cultural Trading Diasporas in South-Eastern Europe”

Polska Komisja Bałkanistyki Historycznej i Kulturowej (The Polish Commission of Balkan Culture and History (AIESEE) wystąpiła na międzynarodowej konferencji „Balkans: Meeting of Cultures. Cross-Cultural Trading Diasporas in South-Eastern Europe”. Konferencja odbyła w dniach 3–6 września 2018 r. w Rzymie, na Uniwersytecie Sapienza.

Prof. dr hab. Jolanta Sujecka (UW) wygosiła  Keynote lecture:
The Image of Jewish Identity in the context of Macedonian – Balkan Identity

Członkowie Polskiej Komisji Bałkanistyki Historycznej i Kulturowej (The Polish Commission of Balkan Culture and History (AIESEE)) wygłosili referaty podczas panelu zatytułowanego The Identity in the Balkans. The Image of Jews from the outside and from the inside of the Balkans:

• Dr Wojciech Sajkowski (UAM): Jewish diaspora of the European part of the Ottoman Empire in the Western perspective (from the 16th till the beginning of the 19th century).
• Dr Aleksandra Twardowska (UMK): Sephardic Identity in the Texts of the Column “Para Noče de Šhabat”.
• Dr Ewa Janion (UW): Portraits of Rahel Lipstein in Nikos Kazantakis’ literary works.

Panel został bardzo wysoko oceniony przez organizatorów, jak również przez uczestników.
