Clergyman of the Roman Catholic Church; Professor of theology.

Studies: Catholic University of Lublin (1985-1989); Sorbonne – Paris IV (1991-1994); “Tantur” – Ecumenical Institute in Jerusalem (1995-1996). Doctorate in theology at the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Lublin in 1989. Habilitation thesis in theology at Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw (1998). The title of professor of theological sciences in 2004.

Interests: He specializes in theological sciences: theological anthropology, dogmatic theology, ecumenism, intercultural dialogue.

Places of work: University of Opole, Faculty of Theology, Institute of Theological Sciences, University of Warsaw, Faculty of “Artes Liberales”.

He served as Head of Doctoral Studies (2000-2008), Vice-Dean and Dean of the Faculty of Theology at Opole University (2005-2012). From 2000 to 2005, he worked as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Theology of Charles University in Prague. Since 2014, he is visiting professor at the Faculty of “Artes Liberales” at the University of Warsaw. He has been a member of the Société Francaise D’Etudes  Mariales since 1998. From 2006 to 2011 he was a consultor of the Ecumenical Council of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, while from 2008 to 2012 he was a consultor of the Scientific Council of the Polish Bishops’ Conference. During the 2008-2012 term, he was a member of the State Accreditation Commission (Humanities Study Team). In the 2008-2012 term, he was a member of the College of Deans of Theological Faculties in Poland. Since 2009 – Expert of the Vatican Congregation for Catholic Education on Evaluation and Promotion. Expert d’Évaluation de l’Agence du Saint-Siege pour l’Évaluation et la Promotion de la Qualité des Universités et Facultés Ecclésiastiques (AVEPRO); Expert of Lithuania’s Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education; Member of the Program Council of the Polish Nestor and Successor Club of Family Companies;

Published more than 160 scientific papers, including 18 monographs; promoted 11 PhDs, 49 master’s and 14 bachelor’s degrees.
