Dr. Anne Laudisoit is a Belgian biologist and an expert on zoonotic diseases. For many years she has explored remote places in the Democratic Republic of the Congo with EcoHealth Alliance. In 2015, on a misty mountainside in a war-torn part of the country, she discovered a population of Eastern chimpanzees hitherto unknown to science. She & a team of Congolese researchers returned there in 2017 with a camera crew : this extraordinary film is the result.

Dr. Laudisoit will present a special showing of the film at the Faculty of Artes Liberales building at Dobra 72, 4 pm on the 19 February. She will also host a discussion and answer your questions following the showing.
