Dr. Anne Laudisoit is a Belgian biologist and an expert on zoonotic diseases. For many years she has explored remote places in the Democratic Republic of the Congo with EcoHealth Alliance. In 2015, on a misty mountainside in a war-torn part of the country, she discovered a population of Eastern chimpanzees hitherto unknown to science.
